14. IBM CEO Statement on President Trump: Many IBMers are calling for the company to distance itself from President Trump -- especially amid Trump's immigration policies. But CEO Ginni Rometty isn't ready to pull the plug on White House relations. In an email to staff, Rometty explained IBM's long history of engaging directly with the U.S. president.

12. Managed Security Services: Deloitte has launched Managed Threat and Managed Digital Identity Services aimed at "empowering enterprises to strengthen their cybersecurity posture." The managed security services arrive only days after rival Accenture made its latest IT security acquisition...

11. NextLevel Talent: NextLevel, a managed unified communications service provider, generated 17 consecutive years of double-digit growth, the company asserts. Eager to maintain that momentum, NextLevel has made two key hires: VP of Business Development Clive Harriso, who will oversee sales, partner growth, and channel expansion. Also, VP of Account Management Derek Gietzen will oversee the company's existing client base and manage the overall client life cycle experience.

10. Microsoft Azure Managed Services: Softchoice says its Microsoft Azure business has grown 1,200+ percent during the first half of Microsoft’s fiscal year. Also, Softchoice reported 400 percent growth in the number of customers subscribing to its Keystone Essential Managed Services offering for Azure. Impressive percentage growth rates -- but the company didn't disclose actual dollars-and-cents or headcount figures...

9. Oracle Cloud Data Integration: Oracle has launched Oracle Data Integrator Cloud, which "simplifies and accelerates cross-enterprise data integration to support real-time analytics that help organizations drive better business decisions." Hmmm...

8. Oracle IoT Services: Oracle has launched four IoT cloud services. They include:

  •  IoT Asset Monitoring Cloud, which monitors assets, utilization, availability, and data from connected sensors;
  • IoT Connected Worker Cloud, which tracks employees to support safety, service, and regulatory compliance initiatives;
  • IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud, which monitors position and progress of passenger, service, and delivery vehicles and driver-behavior; and
  • IoT Production Monitoring Cloud, which Monitors production equipment to assess and predict manufacturing issues.

7. Cisco Chairman Embraces Drones: Cisco Chairman John Chambers has co-led a $15 million Series B investment in Dedrone Inc., which helps customers to detect drones in their airspace. Chambers earlier invested in Airware, a drone services startup.

6. Judgment Day: FalconStor, which has been trying to engage MSPs, is scheduled to announce quarterly earnings today, according to Yahoo Finance. Those earnings could make-or-break the company's status as an ongoing, independent entity.

5. Autotask Community Live Conference Dates: Registration is now open for Autotask Community Live Europe 2017, which is set for April in the Netherlands. 4. Partner Program, Part I: Cybric, which develops a so-called Continuous Security Delivery Fabric, has launched a partner program. Inaugural members include Actifio and Veracode.

3. Partner Program, Part II: Teramind Inc., a provider for insider threat mitigation solutions, has expanded its partner program and launched an intelligent session mining feature for its platform.

2. Cyber Security Research: AppRiver and Intel's McAfee arm each have released cybersecurity research reports. The research findings are particularly timely.
