Syncro Marketplace Now Offering IRONSCALES Email Security Services to MSPs

An awareness sign in the laptop's email inbox informs of phishing attempts and the necessity for awareness.

MSP platform vendor Syncro has teamed up with email security vendor IRONSCALES to combine the company’s AI-powered email security platform with Syncro’s automated billing services through the Syncro Marketplace.

Under the deal, MSPs will now be able to deploy and configure IRONSCALES’ broad email protection services quickly for their customers while simplifying billing through the marketplace portal, all in one place, according to the companies.

The IRONSCALES security services include protections from phishing attacks, business email compromise attempts, account takeover attempts, deepfake-powered attacks, and more using AI and human insights and analysis, according to the company. The platform provides protection through integrations with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

“As the security segment of this space becomes more and more complex and convoluted with each passing day, it is our job at Syncro to ensure that we are cutting through the noise and focusing on the absolute best products in the space,” Andy Cormier, channel chief at Syncro, told ChannelE2E. “This is even more true when offering security-centric products we make available to our customers in conjunction with our platform.”

For customers, the partnership with IRONSCALES allows them to run it side by side with any other email security tool, said Cormier. “MSPs have been coming to us in droves asking us to help simplify their security stacks. They are inundated with new entrants into the space almost daily, all pitching doom and despair if you do not utilize their products because they are the ‘only ones’ protecting their customers from said vulnerabilities. It is simply too much.”

James Savard, senior product marketing manager for IRONSCALES, told ChannelE2E that the technologies from the two companies will make the work of MSPs easier.

“Syncro eliminates complexity for MSPs by unifying remote monitoring and management, professional services automation, billing, and ticketing on a single platform,” said Savard. “IRONSCALES drastically reduces the time spent on email security management through adaptive AI that detects and remediates threats autonomously. Microsoft 365 is the backbone of SMBs and the MSPs that serve these businesses. That is not going to change anytime soon.”

MSPs that are already Syncro clients requested the integration with IRONSCALES through Syncro’s partner and advisory council meetings. “They want email security that integrates seamlessly with their existing workflows, not another platform that requires context-switching and duplicate reporting,” said Savard. “Legacy technologies, like gateways, create governance and operational challenges while simultaneously missing the attacks they set out to catch. By integrating with Syncro’s XMM platform, we solve that problem and upgrade the email security posture of our mutual MSP partners.”

Email security has fundamentally shifted over the last 18 months, said Savard. “AI allows threat actors with minimal skills to generate convincing, personalized phishing campaigns at scale. We have moved far beyond Nigerian prince scams to sophisticated attacks that traditional secure email gateway-era security cannot detect because they do not follow predictable patterns. MSPs can no longer afford to spend hours investigating suspicious emails across client environments. As email threats accelerate, MSPs who can deliver automated, scalable security will win, and this integration puts them in a position to do exactly that.”

Syncro and IRONSCALES Deliver ‘Stickiness’ for MSPs: Analyst

Jack E. Gold, president and principal analyst with J.Gold Associates, LLC, told ChannelE2E that the integration by the two companies will be helpful for MSPs.

“Email remains one of the primary ways that bad actors infiltrate companies large and small through phishing and harmful attachments,” said Gold. “Anything that helps managed email services better protect users is a major advantage, as many customers have very little expertise or resources to do so.”

Being able to provision email security from the same platform as other services will make it easier for MSP customers to include these services in their business defenses, said Gold. “And it provides MSPs with another product they can sell to increase their revenues while also adding more ‘stickiness’ to their services.”
