Netskope Deepens Microsoft Integration to Strengthen Data Security and Governance Across the Enterprise

Managing sensitive data across cloud, endpoint, and AI environments is increasingly difficult as enterprise ecosystems expand. Netskope’s new integration with Microsoft Purview aims to simplify that challenge, extending unified data discovery, classification, and policy enforcement across the full digital estate.

The partnership extends Microsoft Purview’s DLP reach beyond Microsoft’s native ecosystem. Netskope’s platform adds visibility into sensitive data movement across cloud apps, unmanaged services, network traffic, and AI interactions. That includes content shared through social media, uploaded to unsanctioned storage, or entered into AI tools, areas where traditional DLP tools often fall short.

By unifying DLP policies, security teams can configure rules once in Microsoft Purview and apply them consistently across SaaS, IaaS, endpoints, and network layers using Netskope. The result: fewer policy silos, tighter compliance controls, and faster response times when data risks emerge. This approach simplifies operations without compromising granularity or coverage.

The move also builds on Netskope’s broader partnership with Microsoft. Previous integrations with Sentinel and Security Copilot helped security teams triage and investigate threats more effectively. The partnership with Microsoft Entra, announced late last year, brought Netskope SSE into the identity and access layer. With Purview now in the mix, Netskope and Microsoft are offering more connective tissue across cloud security, identity, and compliance workflows.

For enterprises already invested in Microsoft security tools, this integration offers a practical path to extend protections without overhauling existing infrastructure. It’s about using what’s already in place, Microsoft policy engines, Netskope’s data context, and AI-driven detection, to drive real-time enforcement and smarter remediation.
