Cantey Tech Acquires Network Computing Group

Cantey Tech, an IT managed services provider backed by private equity firm LNC Partners, has acquired Network Computing Group (NCG) for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is part of Cantey’s broader acquisition strategy and will provide additional service capabilities to NCG’s clients, particularly in security and project management, the company said.

Cantey Tech, founded in 2007, is based in Charleston, South Carolina. The company has 76 employees listed on LinkedIn. Cantey’s areas of expertise include IT support, managed services, virtualization, networking, PC support, cloud, hosted services, Microsoft 365, Meraki, Cisco, Dell, Microsoft and Apple.

Network Computing Group, founded in 1994, is based in Roanoke, Virginia. The company has 12 employees listed on LinkedIn. NCG’s areas of expertise include IT support, managed IT solutions, and business continuity.

Cantey’s Private Equity Backer

Private equity firm LNC Partners backed the company in July 2021. That investment was earmarked to help Cantey Tech pursue acquisitions.

Since then, Cantey has made a handful of acquisitions, including Palindrome Consulting in November 2022.
