Mailprotector has launched Shield Blueprints, a new capability that allows MSPs to standardize email security configurations across multiple customer environments.
Built into the company's Shield zero trust email security platform, Blueprints lets partners:
- Create reusable security templates
- Automatically apply default settings to new customers
- Establish different configurations based on industry requirements or service tiers
The goal is to reduce repetitive administrative work while helping MSPs maintain consistent protection as their customer base grows.
“Every customer environment has its own security requirements, but MSPs are often configuring the same policies and workflows over and over again,” said Ben Hathaway, CTO of Mailprotector, in a prepared statement.
Blueprints also allows administrators to reapply selected security settings across existing customers without overwriting unrelated configurations. Bulk changes require confirmation, and individual organization logs provide an audit trail. Mailprotector also plans four additional Shield enhancements this fall, including delegated email management, automated mailing-list unsubscribing, personalized message handling and shareable security analysis of suspicious emails.
For MSPs, standardized security configurations can reduce deployment time, minimize configuration errors and make it easier to scale without adding administrative overhead. Partners can establish different security baselines for regulated industries, apply updates consistently across customers and maintain visibility into configuration changes. The capability also creates opportunities to package differentiated email security services while improving operational efficiency.
