We're particularly curious to know how much of the AWS pitch involves Windows Desktops and associated applications (desktop as a service, perhaps) vs. Windows Server workloads.
VMware Cloud on AWS Outposts allows customers to use the same VMware control plane and APIs you use to run your infrastructure
AWS native variant of AWS Outposts allows you to use the same exact APIs and control plane you use to run in the AWS cloud, but on-premises.
The twist: Amazon delivers all of those capabilities as a managed service. We're striving to determine where third-party MSPs can add value to AWS Outposts -- beyond migration and consulting services. No doubt, the low-hanging fruit likely involves backup, disaster recovery (BDR), data protection and security services. Stay tuned for more thoughts on those opportunities soon.3.
