Integris has acquired TechMD and its cybersecurity arm, 1nteger Security, in a move aimed at expanding the company’s cybersecurity capabilities and service delivery for small and midsize business (SMB) clients across the U.S. The acquisition, backed by OMERS Private Equity, marks Integris’ largest to date and adds significant operational scale to its platform.

Expanding Cybersecurity Capabilities with MDR and Compliance Support

With 1nteger Security now part of the Integris portfolio, the company is advancing its managed detection and response (MDR) strategy.

"Integris' acquisition of TechMD and 1nteger Security enables us to rapidly expand our cybersecurity offerings through its meticulously designed MDR solution," said Glenn Mathis, CEO of Integris. "TechMD's solution supports orchestration, automation, and API-level integration, helping to enhance our own considerable solutions."

This expanded security stack is also aligned to regulatory requirements. Integris gains access to a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform developed in partnership with IntelliGRC, which includes built-in support for frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO.

Balancing Local Service with National Scale

As Integris continues its national expansion, maintaining the personalized service model typical of regional MSPs remains a priority.

"As we continue to grow nationally, we are leveraging our growing scale to enhance our local service but not replace," Mathis explained. "With an expansive team of 850+ employees nationwide, we feel that this extensive expertise should be available to every client, regardless of location. This approach will help to reduce strain on local teams, improve consistency and accelerate support."

The integration with TechMD supports this model by enabling regional knowledge to feed into a broader, unified platform, allowing for both scalability and relationship-driven support.

Strategic Focus on Automation and Data-Driven Service

Looking ahead, Integris is investing in automation and AI to improve operational efficiency and deliver strategic insights to clients.

"Following this acquisition and looking to the future, Integris is focused on identifying and automating routine tasks for our clients, what we've coined as 'chore automation,' to reduce costs, improve reliability, and free up client resources," said Mathis.

Integris is also transitioning toward a more advanced virtual CIO (vCIO) model. "We're rolling out a true vCIO model, offering strategic, data-driven guidance beyond the typical vCTO approach seen in almost all MSPs today," Mathis added. "We're on track to begin delivering measurable value through this innovation later this year and into Q1 2026."
