Informatica’s Fall 2025 update to its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) shows how the company is preparing enterprises for a world powered by agentic AI - where human teams and AI agents work together using shared, trusted data. The update brings new automation features, partner tools, and security upgrades to help organizations manage and use data more efficiently across any cloud or platform.“Overall, this unified approach guarantees that all AI - regardless of where it lives - is driven by trustworthy, compliant, and current data,” he said.
CLAIRE Agents Simplify Data Work
At the center of this release are the new CLAIRE Agents - autonomous tools that handle common data tasks like discovery, quality checks, and governance through simple, natural language commands. These agents help users find, clean, and connect data faster without needing deep technical skills.Gopinath Sankaran, Vice President of Strategic Cloud & AI Ecosystems at Informatica, told ChannelE2E that partners and managed service providers will find these agents especially useful.“As enterprises scale, they will need purpose-built CLAIRE agents for data discovery, data quality and product experience as these are core critical data management areas that address AI and agentic use cases,” he explained. He added that CLAIRE is built in collaboration with OpenAI and Claude, giving partners access to LLM-driven automation for use cases like customer onboarding in banking or supply chain forecasting in retail. “The enterprise-scale autonomous CLAIRE agents simplify the core data management functions and drive productivity for partners and MSPs to deliver the business outcomes,” he said. These agents allow partners spend less time on repetitive data prep and more time helping customers get value from their AI initiatives.Building and Managing Custom AI Agents
Informatica also introduced AI Agent Engineering and AI Agent Hub, tools that let customers and partners build, connect, and manage AI agents through a no-code interface. These tools make it easier to use Informatica’s data management services within other AI ecosystems like Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, Google Cloud, AWS, and Oracle.Sankaran called these “major vehicles” for partner growth. “AI Agent Engineering and AI Agent Hub are major vehicles for Informatica partners to broadly expand into providing data needs for the complete agent lifecycle - from development to GTM and customer success,” he said.He explained that partners can use Informatica’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) to bring governed data, quality checks, and cataloging directly into their agents. Informatica also provides “recipes” and an agentic blueprint - templates that help partners build enterprise-ready agents faster.“Our cloud platform, with AI Agent Engineering and CLAIRE agents, is available in the cloud marketplace, which simplifies the access and the usage of Informatica’s AI services for agents,” Sankaran noted. This makes it easier for partners to experiment and deploy agentic solutions for their customers.Informatica as the Data Control Plane for AI
Informatica’s broader goal is to act as the data control plane for the AI ecosystem, ensuring that AI systems across Salesforce, Microsoft, Snowflake, and other platforms all run on accurate, governed data.“Informatica acts as the essential central data management control plane for the AI ecosystem, empowering all our major partners,” Sankaran said. He outlined three ways Informatica helps partners connect and govern AI-ready data:- CLAIRE Data Management Agents help partners discover and clean data across systems like Databricks, Salesforce, and Snowflake.
- MCP connects Informatica’s trusted data services directly into AI environments, ensuring data accuracy and context.
- AI Agent Engineering gives partners tools to orchestrate and manage both Informatica and third-party agents in one place.
