For channel partners selling global connectivity, quoting is often the least efficient part of the sales cycle. Site data comes in incomplete. Validation takes time. Visibility is limited. What should be a quick step turns into days or weeks of waiting, pushing revenue out and forcing sales teams to chase status instead of customers.
That is the problem GTT is addressing with new AI-powered configure-to-order capabilities in
EnvisionDX. The update is aimed squarely at removing friction where partners feel it most, at the moment a deal should be moving forward.
From “Request and Wait” to Real-Time Control
The updated EnvisionDX experience replaces manual quoting workflows with real-time, self-service configuration and ordering. Partners can independently configure services, validate multi-site addresses using GenAI-powered tools, generate quotes, and place orders within a single interface.
Chris Jones, National Vice President Partner Channel, Americas at GTT, told ChannelE2E that the intent goes beyond faster quotes. “Here at GTT, we are partner-obsessed. We are working consistently to ensure our channel partners can serve customers in the best way possible, which means enabling them to move through the sales cycle faster, more efficiently, and more accurately than ever before, helping to shorten the path to profitable revenue.”
Instead of emails, spreadsheets, and offline checks, EnvisionDX enables a shared, live quoting environment. “The new enhancements for partners that we’re launching through GTT EnvisionDX reduce manual back-and-forth by replacing the traditional ‘request and wait’ quoting model with a real-time, collaborative experience,” Jones explains. Partners, advisors, customers, and GTT teams all work from the same quote, with shared visibility and real-time updates.
Self-Service Without Losing Support
A key change is flexibility. Partners are not forced into a single engagement path. “GTT EnvisionDX supports flexible engagement, enabling partners to manage quotes and orders entirely on their own while choosing when to involve GTT for additional co-selling support,” Jones says. That approach gives partners speed and autonomy, while keeping expertise available when site-specific review or validation is needed.
From the product side, the focus has been on reducing barriers at the very start of quoting.
Laura Lehman, Director of Product Management, Digital Experience at GTT, says partners can generate quotes with only the information they actually have. She told ChannelE2E, “We also collect minimal information to help reduce the barriers to quote. We know channel partners need a quote now and we endeavor to provide it as fast as possible without forcing them to go back and get additional information; if they have an address, they can generate a quote.”
AI-powered address validation keeps multi-location quotes accurate, while built-in status visibility shows exactly where each quote stands. “Partners can quickly create accurate quotes for single or multiple sites, with pricing that’s ready to go and only the information they really need to get started,” Lehman notes.
Designed Around How Partners Actually Sell
Lehman also points to deliberate design choices meant to remove confusion rather than add options. “We spoke in depth to our partner to understand what do they need from us. The answer was easy to use quoting where they could get a very clear price with clear information on the service and vendor, no obfuscating bundles or difficult to understand names or packages.”
Customization plays a role here as well. “By letting channel partners set up their own templates using the criteria of what they typically sell, not what we think is the best option, we customize the quote to their specifications and reduce time to quote,” Lehman says. For large deployments, templates are optional. Multi-site address files can be uploaded directly, making quotes for 100 or more sites faster and easier.
Many vendors now talk about AI-enabled quoting, but Jones argues EnvisionDX is tightly tied to how GTT delivers services globally. “From a partner standpoint, GTT EnvisionDX empowers our differentiation because it offers capabilities that leverage the global reach and scale of GTT Envision,” he says. That includes access to GTT’s managed and professional services teams, all working from the same pane of glass.
Jones points to the no-template ingestion model as a clear example. “Its GenAI-powered ‘no-template’ ingestion lets partners upload address lists securely, directly into the system, and the AI automatically validates and applies configurations, removing the need to clean data offline.” Once a customer accepts a quote, service delivery is triggered automatically, reducing handoffs between sales and operations.
Why this matters to the Channel
The shift EnvisionDX represents is practical, not theoretical. Less manual back-and-forth means fewer stalled deals. Clear pricing and visibility reduce internal friction. Real-time control helps partners spend more time selling and less time chasing updates. For channel partners managing complex, multi-site opportunities, that change can directly affect time to close, deal predictability, and how confidently they engage customers. In that sense, EnvisionDX is less about adding features and more about removing delays the channel has long learned to live with.
