GTT targets network blind spots with AI-native security

AI network security

GTT Communications is expanding its security portfolio with Defense Halo, a new network defense platform that embeds AI-driven threat detection and remediation capabilities into the company’s global network infrastructure, with further coverage provided by Channel Insider.

The Defense Halo platform is an AI-native solution built on GTT's AI factory, designed to proactively identify vulnerabilities and policy gaps, offering AI-generated remediation plans in real time. It detects behavioral anomalies specific to a customer's network, distinguishing genuine security threats and remediating them at network speed. The platform generates a real-time model of a customer's network, visualizing connections for threat hunting and vulnerability assessment. Fletcher Keister, Chief Product and Technology Officer at GTT, stated that the platform combats the risk associated with undetected vulnerabilities. Amy DeCarlo, Principal Analyst at GlobalData, noted that integrating Defense Halo eliminates blind spots common in traditional security products by placing AI inference within the network. This approach, combined with customer-isolated models and in-region data residency, offers a distinct defense advantage.

For GTT's channel partners, Defense Halo enhances their ability to offer consolidated networking, security, and managed services to enterprise customers, aligning with GTT's strategy to support partners in navigating the growing complexity of AI and security.
