Connext, a portfolio company of Garden City Equity, has acquired managed services provider Trextel for an undisclosed amount.

Connect, founded in 2022, is based in Duluth, Georgia. The company has 56 employees listed on LinkedIn. Connect’s areas of expertise include managing and deploying network infrastructure, point-of-sale systems (POS), 5G, IoT, security, digital signage, and more.
Trextel, founded in 2008, is also based in Duluth. The company has 68 employees listed on LinkedIn. Trextel’s areas of expertise include advanced WAN management and large-scale technology deployment.
About The Deal
This transaction is Garden City Equity’s eighth investment since 2020 and the first add-on acquisition at Connext.
Interestingly, Connext was formerly the deployment and field services division of Trextel, with this acquisition reuniting Connext with its former deployment and field services division, Trextel. According to the company, the strategic move is aimed at creating a comprehensive IT technology deployment platform.
This platform is designed to offer a complete lifecycle of services to national chains and multi-site retailers, addressing their needs from solution design and project management to deployment, ongoing maintenance, and managed services support, the company said.
