A. Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

1. NinjaOne raises series C - IT and MSP platform provider NinjaOne has raised a $231.5 million Series C funding round led by ICONIQ Growth. This minority investment valued the company at $1.9 billion. NinjaOne automates endpoint management for more than 17,000 customers who need visibility, security, and control. NinjaOne manages more than seven million endpoints for MSP and IT teams.

2. New marketing boss - IT service and security provider Logically has appointed MJ Patent to the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), moving her into the role from VP of marketing.

3. Data security - Data security specialist Varonis Systems, Inc. introduced Varonis Managed Data Detection and Response (MDDR), calling it the industry’s first managed service dedicated to stopping threats at the data level. The company says this differs from MDR services that are endpoint- and network-centric, because MDDR focuses on threats to data. The offering combines Varonis’ threat detection technology and automation with a global team of threat hunters, forensics analysts, and incident responders.

4. Australia M&A - Spirit Technology Solutions has acquired cybersecurity company InfoTrust for an undisclosed sum. Spirit will combine the threat detection and response capabilities of its security operations center (SOC) through its Intalock business, with InfoTrust’s assurance and governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) services. This is deal number 29 that ChannelE2E and MSSP Alert have covered in 2024. See all the deals here.

5. Marketplace listing - D3’s  Smart SOAR is now listed in the CrowdStrike marketplace, marking that its Falcon XDR integration has been vetted and approved by Crowdstrike. The listing builds on the company’s existing  Smart SOAR integration with CrowdStrike.
