Barracuda has updated its BarracudaONE cybersecurity platform with new tools designed to make operations smoother for managed service providers. The additions, like bulk email threat remediation, automated PSA billing, and unified account management, will help MSPs manage multiple customers more efficiently and build a stronger foundation for growth.

Streamlining Multi-Tenant Management

The enhancements target a longstanding challenge for MSPs - managing repetitive tasks across dozens of customer environments.

Brian Downey, Vice President of Product Management and Product Marketing at Barracuda told ChannelE2E, "These enhancements focus directly on the ability for MSPs to reduce the manual steps required to manage required activities. For example, bulk actions allow them to execute an action once across all their clients (as opposed to doing them one at a time), and the PSA integrations ensure billing information is automatically populated in their PSA vs. manual entry.”

With the new bulk remediation capability, MSPs can now remove malicious emails across every tenant simultaneously, accelerating response times and improving consistency. The PSA integrations with leading tools like ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA, Kaseya BMS, Pulseway, and Syncro automate billing workflows that previously required manual reconciliation.

Positioning BarracudaONE as a Growth Engine

Beyond operational efficiency, Barracuda is shaping BarracudaONE into a strategic growth platform for MSPs navigating the evolving XDR and SaaS security ecosystem.

"BarracudaONE represents the holistic Barracuda platform focused on enabling MSPs and their resource-constrained customers,” said Downey. “It provides a simple and efficient experience across security posture management, protection tools, and detection and response, including our XDR offering.”

He added that Barracuda views XDR as one part of a broader ecosystem approach. “We view XDR as a key part of an organization's security architecture, enabling detection and response to threats. Yet, it needs to complement other tools that reduce risks to avoid threats and provide essential telemetry for threat detection, as well as security posture controls that help users understand what risks exist so they can be aware and plan for the impact of gaps in their security posture.”

Differentiating in a Crowded MSP Platform Market

With many vendors consolidating their MSP-ready platforms, Barracuda’s strategy hinges on visibility, integration, and prescriptive intelligence. “Platforms come in many varieties and forms, and it's important to focus on the problems the platform is trying to solve and what is required to solve them,” Downey explained. “For Barracuda, we’ve approached the BarracudaONE platform to provide holistic visibility into an organization’s security posture and rapid insights into key risks and threats to allow them to efficiently respond.”

Downey outlined three key attributes that define BarracudaONE’s approach:

  • Comprehensive Coverage: Supporting all attack surface domains — email, network, application — and every phase of the security lifecycle from identification to recovery.
  • Open & Optimized: Integrating seamlessly with any environment while enhancing value through optimized Barracuda tool connections.
  • Prescriptive & Efficient: Using unified data and AI to guide next steps and automate security improvements.

One Platform, Multiple Outcomes

With these enhancements, BarracudaONE evolves into more than a management console - it’s a growth and automation layer for MSPs. By embedding AI and automation across remediation, billing, and visibility workflows, Barracuda aims to help partners reduce operational drag and improve service margins without adding complexity.

All updates are now available at no additional cost to existing BarracudaONE users. The platform continues to unify Barracuda’s Email Protection, Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, and XDR capabilities within a single interface built for MSP scalability and security resilience.
