Atos Pursues IDnomic Acquisition for Identity Management Services

French IT consulting giant Atos is seeking to acquire  IDnomic, a European digital identity management infrastructure firm. Atos says it is in exclusive talks with IDnomic shareholders about the potential deal. Proposed financial terms have not been released.

IDnomics’ expertise lies in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology. That, coupled with its digital trust solutions and SaaS offerings would complement Atos’ existing cybersecurity product offerings, the company said.

IDnomics, which has 110 employees, was known as OpenTrust before a corporate name changes in 2016. The company's primary investors include Thierry Dassault Holding, Thales, Idemia, Banque des Territoires and Euro-Information.

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of the year, subject to consultation with the companies’ employee representatives.
