The Halcyon anti-ransomware platform is now available to channel partners throughout North America under a broad new distribution partnership with international specialty technology distributor Climb Channel Solutions.Under the partnership, Halcyon can distribute its anti-ransomware products and services more broadly across SMB, commercial, and enterprise markets using Climb's existing partner network. The Halcyon platform is designed as a dedicated anti-ransomware solution that blocks destructive ransomware from running on customers’ critical business systems, eliminating the need for businesses to negotiate or pay ransoms. The platform integrates multiple prevention engines, encryption detection, automated recovery, 24/7 management, enhanced third-party security controls, and other measures to maintain operational continuity, according to the company.“For MSPs, this partnership represents simplified access to the industry’s only purpose-built anti-ransomware platform,” Dave Pawlowski, Halcyon’s worldwide vice president of channels and MSSPs, told ChannelE2E. “It enables partners to easily integrate Halcyon into their security portfolios, leverage distribution efficiencies, and access new enablement tools designed to strengthen their ransomware defense offerings.”For Halcyon, Climb adds scale and leverage across a wide range of new top-tier partners, Pawlowski said. “As a lean channel organization, we simply cannot build a team large enough on our own to engage every strategic partner at the level Climb can. Their reach and partner depth give us an unmatched ability to accelerate channel growth and expand market impact.”Under this deal, Halcyon will be in a much stronger market position, he said. “For the first time, Halcyon’s full technology suite is available through a major distribution partner in North America,” said Pawlowski. “That means MSPs can now source, transact, and scale ransomware protection through the same trusted channels they use for the rest of their cybersecurity stack—reducing friction and accelerating time to value for their customers.”In addition, Halcyon recently hired its first director of global MSSPs, Mark Motyka, who brings more than 20 years of experience working with partners in the managed services space. For Halcyon customers, the Climb deal will provide “broader choices, faster access, and a stronger network of certified partners ready to deliver enterprise-grade ransomware resilience, regardless of size or industry,” said Pawlowski.By making Halcyon’s products available through Climb, the distributor’s field and inside sales teams will also extend Halcyon’s channel reach, according to Pawlowski. “Customers continue to struggle with ransomware, and this gives us better reach into the market to help educate them on what we do and how we can help defeat ransomware,” he said.By working with Climb, Halcyon is also expanding its ecosystem, not just its distribution, Pawlowski added.“Together, Halcyon and Climb are investing in partner enablement, joint marketing, and incentive programs that will help partners drive new revenue streams while enhancing the security posture of their clients,” he said. “It is another step forward in building a community of partners committed to one shared goal: ending the ransomware business model.”Climb Channel Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Climb Global Solutions, is a global specialty technology distributor focused on security, data management, connectivity, storage and hyper-converged infrastructure, virtualization and cloud, and software and application lifecycle technologies.
