AcctTwo recently acquired Leap the Pond, uniting two Sage Intacct partners that offer managed accounting services, accounting software, and custom-developed applications.

The combined company has more than 100 employees supporting more than 800 organizations across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.

Houston, Texas-based AcctTwo says the acquisition will allow it to create more tailored solutions to key verticals, specifically mentioning software and technology, energy and industrial, nonprofits and faith based markets, among others.

It will also expand the company’s reach into the Northeastern U.S. region, given Leap the Pond’s Milford, Connecticut headquarters.

In a prepared statement, Leap the Pond President and Co-Founder David Furth said the two companies were familiar with one another for quite some time.

“My partners, Nancy Fliss and Andrea Low, and I have known the team at AcctTwo for more than five years and have collaborated on a number of projects together,” said Furth. “Our two companies could not be more alike - we have similar offerings, our people share the same values, and we do not rest until our clients are receiving the results they expect.”

Sage Intacct is a global provider of financial management and services. The company is the result of The Sage Group acquiring Intacct for $850 million.
