6. IoT Project Canceled: L.L. Bean Inc. has canceled a data collection and analytics project that would have tested the use of a blockchain ledger and sensors attached to coats and boots, The Wall Street Journal says. It's a timely reminder. Beware the IoT hype.

5. Managed Print Services: VLCM is the first HP Inc. copier dealer in Utah to offer HP's new A3 copiers and multi-function printers, the MPS specialist claims.

4. Data Protection: Huawei's FusionCube hyperconverged platform is now certified to run Veeam Availability Suite. Veeam has been building enterprise-class partnerships with multiple companies, including HP Enterprise and Cisco Systems, among others. Related: The VeeamOn 2018 conference for partners and customers is set for May.

3. Partner Program: Ekahau, which offers Wi-Fi network planning, site surveying, and troubleshooting solutions, has launched a new Channel Partner Program and Partner Portal.

Employee Stock Ownership Plans: The ESOP Association applauds Rep. Nydia Velazquez (D-NY) and Rep. Steve Chabot (R-OH) for their roles in introducing and supporting H.R. 5236, the Main Street Employee Ownership Act of 2018. The bill, which was introduced and approved unanimously by the House Small Business Committee, seeks to redress longstanding inequities in how the Small Business Administration (SBA) administers its loans with respect to Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), the association says.
