From its inception, Ingram Micro ONE has been all about bringing our partners, vendors and the Ingram Micro team together to share best practices and strategies for strengthening and expanding your business opportunities. It’s also a great educational experience—providing valuable information on how Ingram Micro can empower you and your team to work smarter and shorten the sales cycle.

This year’s ONE, to be held on Nov. 27–30 at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas, promises to be one of our best ever—with a lot of exciting and worthwhile programs you won’t want to miss.

This year’s focus is “Embracing the unknown”

With the IT industry changing and evolving at a dizzying pace—and what was once a product-centric business moving into a service-centric one—resellers face a new, unfamiliar territory. This year’s speakers will encourage you to feel good about the new challenges that lie ahead.

Keynote speaker, John Maclean, an Australian triathlete who became a paraplegic as a result of a near-fatal accident, will share his inspirational story. Maclean overcame his disability to become the first wheelchair athlete to swim the English Channel in 1998 and compete in several other world championship events after that. In Sept. 2007, he and his rowing partner claimed a silver medal at the Rowing World Championships and followed up with a gold at the International Regatta in Italy in April 2008. John also won silver in rowing at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.

Ingram Micro senior vice president Tim Ament will also be on hand to speak about how he’s embraced the unknown in pursuing one of his passions, photography. He’ll share details on how he’s had to adapt to industry trends resulting from the digital imaging revolution.

An emphasis on security

A key focus of this year’s ONE is security, physical security and cybersecurity—issues that are on every customer’s mind these days.

A Trust X Alliance member, Beasley Technology of Cushing, Okla., will share a harrowing account of how their team survived a knife attack at the company’s headquarters and discuss strategies for coping with physical assaults in the workplace as well preventive measures companies can take to safeguard employees.

Also featured on the program are Derek Manky, global security strategist at Fortinet, and Dr. Chaos, a professional hacker, who will discuss today’s cyberthreat landscape and conduct a live demo to showcase tools and resources companies can use to safeguard their infrastructure against cyberattacks.

We’re instituting some firsts this year

This is the first year we’ll be opening the show on day one with a general session (9–11:45 a.m.) and closing the show on day two with a general session (3–5:30 p.m.), so we’ll have two full days of content. And this year’s Solutions Showcase, always a popular attraction, will feature an entire city we’ve named “Spectrum City,” to demonstrate how technology solutions in five different verticals—retail, education, finance, healthcare, and state and local government—are transforming urban life.

These are just some of the highlights of what’s in store for you at this year’s event. Registration opened on Aug. 21 and continues through Oct. 25. If you haven’t signed up yet or want to learn more, contact your sales rep today.

We look forward to seeing you there.
