Accenture Expands Commerce Services with Mindcurv Buy

Accenture has completed its acquisition of Mindcurv, a cloud-native digital experience and data analytics company. This acquisition aims to expand Accenture Song's commerce services on a global scale, the company said. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Accenture, founded in 1989, is based in Dublin, Ireland. The company has 541,251 employees listed on LinkedIn. Accenture's areas of expertise include artificial intelligence, data and analytics and security.

Acquisition Insights

The acquisition, initially announced on February 28, 2024, sees over 700 Mindcurv employees joining Accenture Song. This move brings in significant expertise in composability skills, data, and AI capabilities, enhancing Accenture’s service offerings in the digital and commerce space, according to the company.

With its membership in the MACH Alliance, Mindcurv supports businesses in designing and implementing scalable digital experience platforms. It serves over 200 clients across various industries, such as manufacturing, retail, consumer goods, life sciences, and chemicals.

Accenture says that integrating Mindcurv into Accenture Song will help accelerate commerce operations for clients, bridging profitability gaps through enhanced personalization at scale, fostering customer loyalty, and driving sales.

Accenture is no stranger to M&A, having snapped up dozens of companies in the last five years. Most recently, the company acquired Arηs Group, a provider specializing in public sector technology services in Europe.
