Cohesity Hires NetApp Veteran Bill Lipson

Cohesity, a data center backup and recovery solutions provider, has hired The Spur Group and NetApp veteran Bill Lipsin as its VP of global channel sales. Lipsin is responsible for Cohesity's go-to-market strategy, channel programs, enablement and distribution channels and supports the company's channel partner ecosystem.

Lipsin has more than 25 years of enterprise channel, sales and marketing expertise. He most recently was a senior partner at consulting firm The Spur Group and served as VP of worldwide channels at NetApp, the hybrid cloud data services provider. Lipsin also has held senior channel leadership roles at Brocade and CA Technologies (now Broadcom).

Cohesity Adds to Its Leadership Team, Boosts Software Revenue in FY19

In addition to the Lipsin hire, Cohesity this month appointed Sheena Chin as its managing director of sales for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Mauro Ballerini as its sales director for the Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEMEA) region. Chin is responsible for Cohesity's go-to-market strategy in the ASEAN region, and Ballerini is responsible for the leadership and development of Cohesity's business in the SEMEA region.

Cohesity's software revenue increase more than 100 percent year-over-year in fiscal year 2019. Furthermore, Cohesity last year expanded its partner program and added more than 30 new service provider partners in FY19.
