Vanta Raises $150M to Expand Compliance Automation

Vanta just closed a $150 million Series D round, raising its valuation to $4.15 billion. The funding was led by Wellington Management, with backing from CrowdStrike’s and Atlassian’s venture arms among others, reports SiliconANGLE. The company’s software helps businesses streamline compliance with more than 35 security and privacy frameworks, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001. This isn’t just checkbox compliance, it’s about making the process faster, more visible, and easier to manage across teams and partners.

The platform automates much of the work required to stay aligned with data protection standards. It monitors a company’s infrastructure, flags gaps, and offers guidance for remediation. Dashboards give teams a real-time view of where they stand, while the built-in AI assistant can respond to questions like whether a department’s password policy meets SOC 2 requirements. For companies preparing for an audit, Vanta simplifies the process of collecting and sharing evidence with external assessors.

Vanta is also focused on improving how companies share compliance information with customers and prospects. Its secure portal helps buyers understand what standards a vendor meets without having to request documentation manually. If a customer still needs custom answers, Vanta’s AI can handle most of the heavy lifting. That same automation extends to managing supplier compliance, including nudging vendors to complete outstanding security questionnaires.

With more than 12,000 customers already using the platform to keep over 200 million assets in check, Vanta’s next chapter will focus on deeper AI integration. The company plans to evolve its assistant beyond Q&A capabilities, allowing it to take action on behalf of users. The goal is to cut more of the manual work out of compliance, so teams can focus on what actually moves the business forward.Tools
