The term ‘multi-cloud’ has been tossed around the IT industry for several years. Combining IaaS, PaaS and SaaS features from different cloud providers can customers best-of-breed platforms. A 2016 poll showed that 77% of businesses are planning to use multi-cloud architectures in the near future.
Things get extra challenges when corporate data extends from on-premises systems to multiple public clouds. Moving massive amounts of data from traditional infrastructure can take months, cause service interruptions, slowdowns, and pose potential security threats. ZeroDown’s new Business Continuity-as-a-Service (BCaaS) seeks to mitigate those risks. It bridges Microsoft Azure and other cloud or hybrid platforms.
Business Continuity Conferences
ZeroDown competes in a crowded market. Dozens of companies offer data migration tools to the cloud. And numerous companies now specialize in cloud-to-cloud backup. Those themes and more will surface at several upcoming partner conferences -- including VeeamOn 2017, ZertoCon 2017 and DattoCon17.
Still, ZeroDown has extensive market experience. President and CEO Alan Gin formed launched the company in 2000. And CTO Keith Fukuhara's previous tours of duty included Hitachi Data Systems, SecureIT, StorageTek, AT&T Global Information Solutions, Wang Laboratories, and Coopers & Lybrand.
