Ingram Micro has fine-tuned its leadership structure -- aligning three group presidents to more efficiently focus on three specific geographies. The distributor was quick to note, however, that the company isn't overhauling its corporate structure.
Among the moves to note:
> Mark Snider is now the executive VP and group president for EMEA. He is responsible for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Snider, previously CEO for Ingram Micro Canada, is relocating to the company's headquarters in Irvine, Calif. Gerhard Schulz, who served as EVP and president of Europe Technology Solutions for Ingram Micro, will be leaving the company.
> Mike Zillis is now EVP and group president of Asia Pacific. He previously was EVP and group president overseeing the company's Latin American, Eastern European, ASEAN and Hong Kong markets.
> Paul Bay is EVP and group president of the Americas, which spans from Canada through South America. Previously, Bay was EVP and chief execuive for the U.S. and Export.
Snider, Zillis and Bay each report to Ingram CEO Alain Monié.
Additional Ingram Micro Moves
Also of note:
> Bill Brandel has been promoted to VP and chief executive of Canada.
> Kirk Robinson, senior VP of commercial markets and global sales, is taking on additional responsibility and will lead the entire U.S. go-to-market organization.
Both Brandel and Robinson report to Bay.
Ingram Micro made the moves as Tianjin Tianhai -- a China-based logistics giant -- strives to finalize its $6 billion buyout of the distributor. That buyout continues to face some regulatory scrutiny but is expected to be finalized later this year.
