CSP Acquisition: Green Cloud Technologies Buys Cirrity

Share

Green Cloud Technologies (Greenville, South Carolina) has acquired Cirrity (Atlanta, Georgia). The deal unites two cloud services providers (CSPs) that work exclusively through the IT channel. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Green Cloud is a Cisco-powered cloud provider. The company provides custom wholesale and white label cloud solutions to a network of 400 reseller partners. The acquisition expands Green Cloud’s capacity and data center presence, particularly on the west coast, while adding core expertise around security and compliance services, the companies said.

Cirrity's data centers in Atlanta and Phoenix, Arizona, meet such industry security standards and certifications as including PCI and ISO 27001, the companies indicated. The deal also unlocks more vertical market opportunities in healthcare and financial services, the duo said.

Green Cloud Technologies, founded in 2011, believes it is now the largest independent, channel-only cloud IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) provider in the country.

We're reaching out to the company for more details about the deal.
