Simplified Amazon AWS Setup: New Cloud Dashboard for Novices

If a cloud startup has its way, setting up Amazon Web Services (AWS) is about to get a whole lot easier. Indeed, Cloud With Me has launched a simplified dashboard to help business owners create and maintain servers in the AWS cloud. The Dublin, Ireland-based company is preparing similar capabilities for Microsoft Azure.

So far Cloud With Me helps business owners to deploy:

  • Managed Hosting Services: This is designed for "those who don't want the hassle of dealing with AWS' complicated console and also need to set budgets for their monthly server expenses."
  • Self Hosting Services
  • Free add-ons like FTP and MySQL
  • And content management systems like Drupal, PHP, Roundcube, Wordpress, Magento and Joomla.

Cloud With Me: Managed SMB Cloud Services?

Look at that list again. Cloud With Me is sort of an MSP serving AWS customers. While Amazon's own managed services focus on global 2000 companies, Cloud With Me has tailored its dashboard and associated services for the novices among us.

After completing its beta a few weeks ago, the company has raised $500,000 in seed funding and is looking to attract customers, VentureBeat says.
