12. Momentum: Dell Technologies revenue was $21.4 billion in Q1 fiscal 2019, up 19 percent, the technology giant announced Monday morning. Also, Dell's quarterly loss was $538 million -- a notable improvement over the $1.2 billion Q1 loss from last year's Q1. Pundits continue to watch Dell closely for potential merger scenarios involving VMware. Dell already owns a big stake in the virtualization specialist and has been mulling additional financial arrangements with the company.

11. Google & Military Technology: Google has decided not to renew Project Mavin, a Pentagon project that could potentially be weaponized. More than 4,000 Google employees had petitioned the search giant to end the Pentagon engagement.

10. AWS Cloud Contract Lost: Rean Cloud apparently has lost a $950 million contract to migrate Pentagon IT services to Amazon Web Services, according to various reports. We'll share more details soon.

9. Education & Training: Woz U, the education startup backed by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, has partnered with the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). The university will offer Woz U's Cyber Security and Software Developer programs to companies so they can upskill their workforces and remain up-to-date with the latest computer programs, practices and procedures, the two organizations said.

8. Talent: The 2112 Group has named channel veteran Alex Hart as senior vice president of strategy services. He will oversee the expansion of 2112’s go-to-market strategy services -- which help technology companies to develop new business models and channels that increase indirect revenue. Hart previously held key channel leadership positions at Verizon Enterprise, VMware and Symantec.

7. Cloud Cost Management: ParkMyCloud has released cost optimization support for Microsoft Azure virtual machine scale sets and Google Cloud Platform managed instance groups, the company says.

6. MSP Billing Management: Melbourne-based Emersion has developed an integrated billing and provisioning solution for MSPs that integrates their partners into a single bill for their customers, CRN Australia reports. The system apparently leverages ConnectWise Manage.

5. Expansion - PSA Software: Kimble Applications has opened opening a Chicago office. The company is headquartered in Boston and also has an office in Park City, Utah. Kimble was founded in the UK in 2011, but now generates more than 50 percent of its revenue now comes from the U.S. and Canada. M&A - Government IT Services: DXC Technology has completed the separation of its U.S. Public Sector (USPS) business and combination with Vencore Holding and KeyPoint Government Solutions to form Perspecta. The independent company now trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PRSP.

3. M&A - Microsoft Partners: SHEA Solutions Inc. has acquired TGO Consulting, uniting two Microsoft partners that have Office 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure cloud expertise. We'll share more details soon.
