8. Partner Program:  Mist has launched a partner program for MSPs to deliver WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy as managed wireless services. Key distribution partners include WAV Inc. for the United States and Net One Partners in Japan. Barracuda Networks veteran Mike Anderson, Mist's VP of channel sales, drives the partner program.

7. IBM Revenue Rebound?: IBM is set to announce quarterly earnings on Tuesday. Is this the quarter that IBM finally grows top-line revenues for the first time in 21 quarters? Hmmm... No doubt, strategic revenues involving cloud, big data analytics, mobile and security are growing. But are they finally growing fast enough to offset weakness in IBM's traditional hardware, software and IT services businesses? We'll be watching.

6. Avaya Bankruptcy Extension?: Avaya is seeking an additional 60 days to file a Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring plan, arguing in court papers the extra time will help it craft a plan its stakeholders can support, according to Reuters. The extension seeks a September 16 deadline. On a related note, Extreme Networks on Friday finalized the buyout of Avaya's networking business.

5. Hybrid IT Services: Atos has launched the Canopy Orchestrated Hybrid Cloud for Microsoft Azure Stack. The hybrid cloud service is powered by the Dell EMC Cloud for Microsoft Azure Stack hybrid cloud platform. Multiple server companies are launching Azure Stack platforms that allow customers to deploy localized versions of Microsoft's public cloud software.

4. Colocation Forecast: The global data center collocation market size is expected to grow from US$31.52 billion in 2017 to $US62.30 billion by 2022, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 14.60 percent, according to Markets and Markets. That growth rate suggests colocation will remain a popular alternative to public clouds like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

3. Mitel Finalizes Toshiba Deal: Mitel Networks has finalized the buyout of certain inventory, assets and support requirements for Toshiba's unified communications operations. Toshiba essentially shut down that business in March 2017, and Mitel announced the associated asset acquisition in May.

2. Office 365 MonitoringGSX Solutions has earned Microsoft's Gold level in Cloud Productivity competency. The company already is a Gold Partner in Messaging. GSX provide real-time analytics of Office 365 performance, from the end-user perspective and from different locations, to mitigate issues before they impact the business lines, the company asserts.
