Today’s Technology and MSP Partner Program News

  1. Kaseya has confirmed plans to expand its operations in Florida, adding 3,400 jobs over the next three years in Miami-Dade county and making over $16 million in capital investment. Hiring will be across the board for software engineers, security analysts, account managers, technical support, technical architects, marketing, accounting, and finance, according to the report. Kaseya has also confirmed that legacy Datto employees will not be required to move to the Miami area.
  2. Microsoft and Mitre have developed a plug-in called Arsenal that combines several open-source software tools to help cybersecurity pros better prepare for attacks on machine learning systems. The tool implements tactics and techniques defined in the MITRE Atlas framework and has been built off Microsoft’s counterfeit as an automated adversarial attack library. This lets security pros accurately emulate attacks on systems that contain machine learning even if they don’t have a background in machine learning or AI.
  3. Dell’s chief financial officer Tom Sweet will retire in August. Sweet’s tenure as CFO began right after the company went private in 2014, and Sweet stayed in the role through Dell’s return to the public markets in 2018. Yvonne McGill will be Dell’s first woman CFO. She joined Dell in 1997 and her roles have included CFO and senior vice president of the Infrastructure Solutions Group.
  4. Managed office provider Novatech has expanded its partnership with enterprise content management software solutions provider DocuWare. The companies said that the strategic alliance will enable NovaTech to expand its ECM capabilities and deliver a comprehensive suite of document management solutions to its customers across the country.
  5. Two AWS partners have added managed services to the portfolio of services they offer their clients. NorthBay Solutions of Andover, Massachusetts, and Zero&One of the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon have both added this AWS designation to their rosters.
