General Communications Inc. (GCI), an Alaska-based IT services provider, has acquired Northpoint Consulting, a network consulting firm in Seattle, Wash. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The move positions GCI to provide broader management offerings nationwide including unified communication, network security and cloud integration, the companies said.
Northpoint provides consulting services like network analysis and security, cloud migration management and communications design to Fortune 500 companies nationwide, the company asserts.
Northpoint founder Nathan Clark will become VP of business development in the Pacific Northwest for GCI. Also, Northpoint's staff of 23 will become GCI employees.
