Top 100 Technology Mergers and Acquisitions of 2017: An MSP, CSP Report

Updated: The Top 100 Mergers and Acquisitions list involving VARs, MSPs and CSPs for 2017 is now published hereBackground: ChannelE2E unveiled the Top 100 Mergers and Acquisitions of 2017 during our webcast on January 18. The list specifically zeros in on MSPs, CSPs, VARs, private equity firms and other firms that were active buyers and sellers across the IT channel in 2017.

During the same webcast, we tackled the latest IT service provider valuation trends -- featuring the latest, exclusive data from Service Leadership Inc. CEO Paul Dippell. In fact, we spent most of the webcast discussing Dippell's valuation findings -- and the implications for your business.

ChannelE2E tracked more than 150 M&A deals in 2017. We saw a range of buyers in the market -- including everyone from MSPs (23 percent of buyers) to private equity firms (15 percent), data center specialists (5 percent) and more. We rolled all of that editorial coverage into a Top 100 Mergers and Acquisitions of 2017 list that we'll unveil today.

Among our challenges: Many of the deals did not disclose valuation information and deal structures. That's where Service Leadership enters the picture. Dippell and his team have extensive experience benchmarking IT service providers. From financial performance metrics to actual M&A data, Service Leadership gathers and analyzes the data. Dippell shared the latest valuation metrics  -- for the first  time -- during today's webcast.

The webcast is now available on demand here. Thanks to those who have already signed up and attended.
