RapidFort has partnered with Carahsoft to make its software supply chain security platform more accessible to federal agencies and public sector buyers. The collaboration is designed to help organizations meet compliance requirements like FedRAMP and CMMC faster, reduce vulnerabilities earlier in the development lifecycle, and ease the operational burden on security and development teams.Carahsoft will distribute RapidFort’s platform, including its curated near-zero CVE container images and runtime security features, through its public sector reseller network and contract vehicles such as NASA SEWP V and E&I Cooperative Services. This expands the reach of RapidFort’s tools through established government procurement channels. For public sector teams, achieving and maintaining compliance with frameworks like FedRAMP and CMMC often involves complex, resource-heavy processes. RapidFort addresses this by offering hardened container images aligned with federal security standards, runtime protection that actively reduces the software attack surface, and automation features that generate key documentation like SBOMs and POAMs. These capabilities allow agencies to shift compliance efforts earlier in the software development process, helping them start secure and stay compliant without introducing delays. The company says its platform has helped customers reduce vulnerabilities by up to 95% and cut compliance timelines by several months. With availability already in Platform One, Tradewind Marketplace, and the major cloud marketplaces including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, the Carahsoft partnership further lowers the barrier to adoption for agencies looking to strengthen software security and streamline compliance. As federal mandates evolve, the partnership gives agencies a more efficient path to deploying secure software while meeting regulatory expectations—without adding unnecessary complexity to the process.
