LTI Acquires Powerupcloud Technologies

Global technology consulting and digital solutions firm Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd. (LTI) is acquiring Powerupcloud Technologies, an Indian cloud consulting company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Bengaluru, Powerup is a Premier Consulting Partner of AWS; a Gold Partner of Microsoft Azure; and a Cloud Consulting Partner of Google Cloud Platform. Powerupcloud was founded in 2015. The company has more than 180 employees and works with clients across India, Singapore, UAE, and the United States.

For its part, LTI has more than 300 customers while its Mosaic platform focuses on digital transformation projects, especially mobile, social, analytics, IoT, and cloud journeys. The company had more than $1 billion in revenue and over 28,000 employees as of late 2017.

LTI Gains Cloud and AI Capabilities

LTI gains two AI-based platforms to the firm's existing suite of offerings. CloudEnsure.io is an autonomous Cloud Governance Platform that continuously monitors an enterprise’s cloud services, detects threats and compliance violations, and recommends or executes appropriate fixes. The other platform, Botzer.io, helps organizations adopt AI faster with and is designed to save time spent in trial-and-error experimentation.

Powerup is LTI's sixth acquisition since the company in 2016 and fourth in this calendar year. Earlier in 2019, LTI acquired Ruletronics, NIELSEN+PARTNER, and Lymbyc.
