Konica Minolta Business Solutions has acquired Document Scanning Systems and Imaging (DSSI), which should further bolster Konica's enterprise content management (ECM) practice, according to Senior VP Kevin Kern.
DSSI, launched in 1996, resells OnBase by Hyland and Kofax solutions. The Chatsworth, California-based company’s expertise includes document scanning and information management services. The company helps customers to manage, control, and protect their information by creating document workflow programs.
DSSI will fold into Konica’s existing ECM operation, led by Les Walker, president, Business Intelligence Services, ECM.
Konica over more than a decade has acquired numerous companies for its core document management businesses as well as its IT services arm, All Covered. Example deals include:
- March 2016: Acquiring a majority stake in Mobotix AG, which specializes in video surveillance systems.
- July 2017: Acquiring TLS.NET, a cloud-focused MSP that rolled up into All Covered, which itself has acquired dozens of service providers over the past decade.
