Kaseya has named CJ Wimley as president and chief customer officer. The move is part of a "restructured approach to customer success," the IT management software provider to MSPs and midmarket IT departments indicated.

Wimley previously was CEO of TeamDynamics, and earlier held key posts at SunGard and GETPAID.

At Kaseya, he'll work closely with Jim Mangano, senior VP of global customer services, Bruno Stanziale,VP of customer success management, and Sabine Beijk-Link, VP of customer success in EMEA.

In a prepared statement, the company said:

"Kaseya’s restructured approach to customer success focuses on one-on-one, personal training supported by a team of advocates empowered to assist customers at every point along their journey. Each account team is comprised of solutions specialists, technical account managers, and sales administrators, who are led by an overall account manager who is accountable for and dedicated to the customer’s well being."

Kaseya: Organic Growth, Acquisitions, And...

Kaseya's continued focus on customer success comes at a key time. CEO Fred Voccola stabilized the company in early 2016, returned it to growth in late 2016 and 2017, and has been looking to accelerate that growth in 2018. Key moves include the recent Unitrends acquisition for business continuity services.

Private equity firm Insight Venture Partners acquired Kaseya in 2013. Voccola has floated the idea of a potential IPO within the next year or two. But the likelier outcome potentially involves Insight Venture Partners selling the business to a strategic technology buyer or another private equity firm within the next 12 to 24 months, ChannelE2E believes.
