Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

1. WatchGuard Introduces New XDR Offering: WatchGuard this week announced a new ThreatSync+ NDR offering, a cloud-based, open XDR solution that builds on NDR technology from WatchGuard’s acquisition of CyGlass Technology Services. The new offering uses an advanced AI detection engine to improve threat monitoring, detection and remediation, increase visibility into north-south and east-west network traffic and applies enterprise-class machine learning that counters advanced threats. The solution is aimed at smaller IT teams, SMBs and those with limited resources, WatchGuard said in a statement.

2. SaaS Alerts Expands MSP Security Tools to Google Workspace: Automated cybersecurity platform company SaaS Alerts has extended its automated remediation Respond module to now include Google Workspace. The SaaS Alerts Respond module was initially launched in 2022 to allow MSPs to automatically remediate SaaS security threats in Microsoft 365. Respond for Google Workspace is the first software solution developed exclusively for MSPs to detect and automatically remediate SaaS security threats in Google Workspace applications. The software is the latest offering of the SaaS Alerts platform, which protects the world’s most popular SaaS applications and MSP tools.

3. Auvik Names Two New Executives: IT and network management software firm Auvik made two new appointments to its executive team today -- Mark Ralls as president and Bryan Getz as chief sales officer, the company said in a statement. Ralls and Getz will help Auvik continue accelerating the company's growth in the channel. Bryan Getz joins Auvik with an impressive record for driving revenue growth and extensive experience with managed SaaS platforms, including nearly 20 years of sales leadership in Silicon Valley, while Ralls, an experienced software executive, brings over twenty years of operating experience to Auvik with a proven ability to build high-performing teams that delight customers and accelerate company growth.

4. Synechron Acquires Two Australian Firms to Expand Portfolio: Synechron, a digital transformation consulting firm for the financial and technology sectors, has acquired Chamonix IT Management Consulting Pty Ltd and Exposé Data Pty Ltd. Both companies are headquartered in Adelaide, Australia, with additional operations in Melbourne and Brisbane. Both sellers deliver digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and analytics expertise to clients across several key industries including government, healthcare, utilities, energy, and education. The two organizations will join Synechron's core digital transformation consulting business and bolster its growing presence in SaaS, IT services, and analytics, while simultaneously enhancing its ability to offer support and solutions across Asia, the Americas, and Europe, the company said in a statement.

5. TD SYNNEX Earnings: This week, distributor TD SYNNEX reported revenue of $13.9B, within its projected outlook of $13.3B to $14.9B, despite a slight 0.8% decrease from the same quarter last year. Net income increased by 7.9% to $144 million, while diluted earnings per share (EPS) grew 17.7% to $1.66.
