Good morning, folks!
The biggest news today is Google parent company Alphabet's bid to acquire Israeli cloud security firm Wiz. 'Sources' told Reuters and the Wall Street Journal that the deal could cost as much as $23 billion (yeah, that's billion with a B) and would be Google's largest acquisition ever. If it goes through, it would put Google in a better position to compete with AWS and Microsoft, Reuters noted.
In other news, Gathid released an updated version of its identity governance platform last week that uses digital twin and knowledge graph technology to ensure better role-based access control (RBAC) for enterprises, Bill Oliver is named managing director of U.S. operations at SAP security provider SecurityBridge and Women in Cyber is hosting a virtual event you won't want to miss.
