Channel Brief: Malwarebytes Adds New Case Management, Reporting Features

(Getty Images)

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics this morning reported that the employment rate in October 2024 was essentially unchanged, and the unemployment rate held steady at 4.1%.Within professional and business services, employment in temporary help services declined by 49,000 in October. Among the tech companies that reported layoffs in October 2024 are IBM, Dropbox, F5, Coursera, Upwork, Meta and CareerBuilder.

Of course, employment changes for the broader economy can mean opportunity in the technology channel as more companies look to outsource their technology needs to external providers. As we reported earlier this year, Service Leadership has said that it has been hearing of slower growth for managed services revenues in 2024. But election uncertainty is likely to end soon and interest rates are headed down again, potentially signaling a new round of spend in the months ahead.
