Channel Brief: ArmorCode’s New Channel Chief, Assured Expands to Latin America

Despite the hype and buzz about AI copilots' utility, many organizations are kicking them out of their offices due to governance and data security concerns.

Microsoft positions its Copilot tool as a way to make users more productive and remove redundant, repetitive tasks. It also captures all the human labor latent in the data it uses to train its AI models and resells it, according to The Register. And therein lies the problem.

What happens to that data? Where does it go? What else is it used for? And are the tools deliberately or inadvertently given access to sensitive data, like that from HR? That's a problem, obviously.

In the piece, The Register quotes Jack Berkowitz, chief data officer of Securiti, who reported many chief digital officers he'd talked to were severely restricting copilot/Copilot access within their organizations.

What's your take? Are you using a c/Copilot? How are you handling the data security and privacy issues?

Redis is also launching an AI Copilot to help developers more quickly retrieve Redis docs and write code, TechCrunch reported. The company is also adding a new integration service, making it easier for developers to get data into Redis without using a third-party service, and launching Redis Flex, based on technology it gained with the acquisition of Speedb. This is the company's biggest release yet after switching from the open-source BSD to a dual-license scheme, using the Redis Source Available License (RSALv2) and Server Side Public License (SSPLv1).
