Caylent has introduced
Caylent Accelerate for Cloud Migration, an output-based service designed to help enterprises move from VMware, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure onto AWS. The offering combines AI-driven delivery with a pay-for-results model, embedding resiliency and cost optimization into every migration.
An Output-Based Model with Built-In Accountability
Traditional migration services often create cost uncertainty and leave customers carrying the risk of overruns. Caylent’s approach changes that dynamic by charging only for workloads that are successfully migrated and verified in AWS. Retired workloads are excluded from billing.
Ryan Gross, Head of Data & Applications at Caylent, explained to ChannelE2E: “Given our deep experience with enterprise migrations, combined with AI tooling and repeatable templates we have built for lift and shift patterns into AWS, Caylent is able to offer fixed-fee pricing for both the assessment and the migration. As part of the assessment, we determine the migration plan, including which workloads will be retired and which will be migrated, helping us refine the fixed price with confidence.”
Gross added that the model eliminates uncertainty through clear scoping, milestone-based tracking, and automated testing suites: “Customers gain transparency through clear scoping upfront, milestone-based tracking, and an output-based pricing structure that aligns to their success. To help manage risk, our AI tooling includes the creation of automated testing for the migrated VMs, which help us to provide a clear, transparent definition of ‘successfully migrated and verified’ for clients.”
AI Woven Into the Migration Lifecycle
Many accelerators in the AWS ecosystem provide automation at the template level, but Caylent extends AI across discovery, planning, execution, and validation. By embedding AI agents into the migration lifecycle, Caylent enables faster delivery without compromising accuracy.
“Caylent goes further by embedding AI into the full lifecycle of discovery, planning, execution, and validation,” Gross said. “We use AI agents to analyze VM metadata, generate Terraform infrastructure as code for future-ready AWS environments, and automatically configure the AWS Application Migration Service. AI also powers continuous health checks and dependency validations during the migration and the creation of automated test suites for each VM in scope, cutting timelines by up to 50 percent and reducing errors that often cause overruns.”
This blend of automation and expertise not only accelerates migration but reduces the risks of downtime and project delays that enterprises often face.
Helping Enterprises Retire VMware and Simplify Multi-Cloud
As VMware pricing changes and multi-cloud complexity escalate, many enterprises are rethinking long-term strategies. Caylent Accelerate for Cloud Migration positions AWS as a predictable landing zone while helping organizations reduce reliance on costly platforms.
“For enterprises facing rising VMware fees and multi-cloud complexity, Caylent Accelerate for Cloud Migration provides a predictable path to AWS,” Gross noted. “During the assessment, we build the migration plan and identify which workloads should be migrated and which can be retired, helping customers reduce scope, eliminate unnecessary VMware licensing, and exit data centers with confidence. This approach not only helps customers retire costly VMware licenses and exit other platforms on time, but it also ensures they land on AWS with resiliency and cost optimization built in for long-term success.”
Opening New Opportunities for AWS Partners
The new offering doesn’t just create value for customers; it also opens doors for AWS partners and resellers. By enabling faster exits from VMware and multi-cloud estates, Accelerate clears the path for higher-value services.
Gross explained: “Accelerate for Cloud Migration is also a partner opportunity. By enabling faster exits from VMware and multi-cloud estates, it opens doors for partners and resellers to deliver higher-value services on top of AWS such as FinOps, security hardening, database modernization, or application refactoring. Because resiliency and cost optimization are embedded by default, partners can immediately build on that foundation with new service offerings tied to long-term AWS adoption.”
Expanding the Accelerate Portfolio
This launch builds on Caylent Accelerate for Database Modernization, giving organizations structured options to eliminate technical debt and modernize with AWS. Built on Amazon Bedrock, the portfolio reflects Caylent’s focus on AI-powered, output-driven delivery that lowers risk while ensuring long-term value. For enterprises navigating VMware exits, data center renewals, or migration delays, Caylent’s model offers a way to cut CapEx, reduce OpEx, and redirect resources toward innovation.
