Azul is giving MSPs a new way to tackle Java complexity with the launch of its
Managed Services Provider Program for Azul Intelligence Cloud. The offering is designed for partners that want to deliver ongoing Java license, security, and code-efficiency insights, without asking customers to deploy more tooling or spin up in-house analytics functions.
The program gives partners white-label access to Azul Intelligence Cloud’s core features - JVM Inventory, Vulnerability Detection, and Code Inventory - which they can embed directly into their managed services. Customers get the benefits: compliance clarity, vulnerability visibility, and modernization support. Partners manage everything behind the scenes, with reporting and insights branded as their own.
Simon Taylor, Senior VP of Worldwide Partners & Alliances at Azul told ChannelE2E, the offering is meant to simplify a growing problem. “Azul’s MSP program helps partners stand out by offering a more efficient and comprehensive way to manage Java licensing and compliance,” he said. “Traditional approaches are often hampered by limited toolsets and the manual effort required to process and interpret results. Azul’s Intelligence Cloud, particularly its Java inventory component, changes the game by providing automated, real-time visibility into Java usage—across all vendors, versions, and environments, including hybrid and hyperscale cloud.”
Delivering Value
For MSPs, the value goes beyond ease of delivery. By controlling the entire customer experience - from agent deployment to report scheduling - partners can build tailored subscriptions around security, compliance, and optimization. Each customer gets a dedicated, secure tenant within Azul Intelligence Cloud, provisioned and maintained by the partner.
This also opens the door to new recurring revenue models. “White-label access to Azul Intelligence Cloud creates several new recurring revenue streams beyond traditional Java license management,” Taylor explained. “These include security posture reporting, audit defense services, code optimization, and modernization staging services. By packaging these into subscriptions, partners can expand their value proposition across DevOps, security, and modernization practices.”
JVM Inventory makes it possible to detect every running Java instance - Oracle, Azul, or OpenJDK - and flag which ones may fall under Oracle’s commercial licensing terms. Partners can map each JVM to a specific application or team and help clients stay ahead of audit risk.
Vulnerability Detection uses runtime data to cut through noise. Instead of flooding teams with generic CVE alerts, it shows precisely which classes and libraries are affected, making it easier to focus on what actually matters. “Azul’s Application Vulnerability Detection offers a fundamentally different approach compared to traditional scanners,” Taylor said. “By leveraging runtime data, AVD identifies Java vulnerabilities with precision, down to the JVM, library, and class level, dramatically reducing false positives that typically overwhelm security teams. For MSPs, this means delivering more accurate, actionable intelligence to their clients.”
Partners can also use Code Inventory to highlight unused or dead code, supporting clean-up efforts, modernization, or optimization. For DevOps teams, this can mean getting back developer time that was previously lost to managing legacy code.
No New Tooling for Customers - Just ready-to-use Insights
One of the strongest points of the program is that customers don’t need to manage yet another platform. Partners handle ingestion, analysis, alerting, and reporting. What clients receive are clear insights: what Java distributions are running, whether they’re compliant, which ones are vulnerable, and how much code can be safely removed or modernized.
Taylor summed it up like this: “With advanced analytics and filtering capabilities, partners can offer more insightful, faster, and resource-efficient compliance and licensing services—driving both operational efficiency and client value.”
