A. Today’s Technology, Channel Chief and MSP Partner Program News
- Private Equity Acquisition: Private equity firm HKW has acquired IT managed service provider CMIT Solutions for an undisclosed sum. CMIT’s previous owner was Craftsman Capital. The deal is part of CMIT’s strategy to double its systemwide revenue to $200 million by 2028, according to the company.
- New MSP Business Development Head: Align, a provider of technology infrastructure solutions and managed IT Services, has appointed a new director of business development. Dan Lyons will take the position. He previously served as director of business development, the company said.
- Agilit’s New CEO: Meanwhile, Agiliti, which provides medical technology management and service solutions to the United States healthcare industry, has announced that Tom Leonard will retire as CEO. He will be replaced by current president Tom Boehning. Leonard will continue as a member of the company’s Board of Directors, the company said.
- Alibaba’s Planned New Data Center: Alibaba is planning a new data center near the Turkish capital of Ankara. While details were scarce, Reuters reports that the investment plan includes a logistics hub at Istanbul Airport and a data center outside Ankara in Temelli. Alibaba Cloud operates a network of 28 cloud regions and 86 availability zones globally.
- Healthcare Services Acquisition: RSi, a national provider of revenue cycle services for the hospital and large physician practice market, has acquired Invicta Health Solutions. Invicta is a technology solutions provider based in Houston, Texas. The deal will allow both RSi and Invicta to deliver front-end to back-end solutions to their clientele, the companies said.
