Proofpoint Blocking Mailprotector IP Addresses?

Share

Over the past month or so, Proofpoint’s Dynamic Reputation List has blocked Mailprotector IP addresses roughly 10 times or so, Mailprotector alleges. The blockage could trigger some email delivery challenges for channel partners and their customers.

In each case, no spam has been detected by Mailprotector’s outbound filters, and there is no explanation for what triggered the blocked IP, Mailprotector says. In at least eight of the occurrences, the block was placed on different IP addresses.

Mailprotector continues to take "immediate action to minimize the disruption to senders." Proofpoint recipients also suffer because they do not receive potentially important messages, Mailprotector asserts. "The frequency of these disruptions from a company that provides email security is disappointing," according to a Mailprotector statement to ChannelE2E.

ChannelE2E reached out to Proofpoint for comment multiple times on June 27 and 28, but we received no reply. We will potentially update this article if/when we receive a reply.
