Syncro Launches Cloud PSA, RMM, Remote Access Platform for MSPs

Just when you thought the MSP software market was too crowded and set for consolidation, Syncro is attempting to crash the party with its own cloud-based unified PSA, RMM and remote access platform for IT service providers.

Syncro reached open beta in October 2017 and officially launched in November 2017, according to the company blog. It claims to address professional services automation (PSA), remote monitoring and management (RMM) and remote access for MSPs.

Core features include CRM, ticketing, integrated billing, asset inventory, marketing, reporting/analytics, monitoring, patch management, custom scripting, managed anti-virus and more, the company asserts. The Syncro platform is hosted on Heroku‘s platform as a service (PaaS) within Amazon Web Services (AWS).

More recently, Syncro launched apps for Apple iOS and Google Android devices.

Poke around and you’ll notice that several of Syncro’s employees previously built RepairShopR, an all-in-one business management system for computer, smartphone and tablet repair shops. That makes me wonder if Syncro is somehow a rebranded version of RepairShopR, or perhaps built off the same or similar code bases. We’re also curious to know how Syncro is funded, and how the company hopes to differentiate from a lengthy list of entrenched rivals.

We have at least one direct contact at Syncro. We’ve reached out for comment and we’ll be sure to update this article when we hear back. Updated December 7, 2017, 9:35 p.m. ET: Some more details from Syncro.

MSP Software Market: Growing, Consolidating And…

The overall MSP software and technology market remains healthy, but it’s been rather wild to watch consolidators pursue M&A while potential disruptors attempt to establish a foothold in the market.

Stay tuned for more updates on Syncro. And special thanks to Xcellerate’s Ray Barber;  he emailed me Wednesday night asking about the company and its strategy. We began our outreach to Syncro based on Barber’s inquiry.

    Dan:

While a better PSA trap could be a welcome addition to the market, there are so many questions that aren’t forthcoming from their website. One, can their PSA act as a standalone; two, Integration w 3rd party services is a must and their list is limited; three, is Syncro built w redundancy in mind? AWS downtime can have a disastrous effect on an MSP if there’s no failover redundancy.
Many of us are happy w our current RMM solutions and not so happy w our PSA. Just my two cents.
