GTT Communications has expanded its partnership with HPE to add managed secure access service edge and LAN/WLAN services to its enterprise networking portfolio. The new services combine GTT’s Envision platform and global network with HPE Aruba Central, HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN and HPE Networking Security Service Edge. GTT is targeting enterprises that want to manage connectivity, cloud access and security policies through a more coordinated operating model. The companies have worked together for more than a decade around managed SD-WAN. The expanded agreement adds HPE’s SSE technology to GTT Secure Connect, creating a fully managed SASE service that brings SD-WAN, cloud-delivered security and zero-trust controls into one offering. GTT will operate the service across its Tier 1 network, covering users, devices and applications across branch offices, data centers, cloud platforms and SaaS environments.GTT is also adding managed wired and wireless networking through HPE Aruba Central. This gives customers an option to extend the same managed services relationship from the WAN into campus, branch and local network environments. For enterprise IT teams, the broader portfolio could reduce the number of separate vendors and management tools involved in running distributed networks, while giving GTT a larger role in network operations and security. The partnership reflects the direction of the managed networking market as providers move beyond connectivity into security, cloud access, and local network management. GTT now has a wider HPE-based services portfolio to take to multinational customers looking to modernize networks without adding more operational work for internal teams.
