Evergreen is a family of managed services and software companies funded by private equity with a buy-and-hold philosophy. Their slogan is “A Permanent Home for Your Business and Leaders.” Evergreen was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California. The firm has 80 employees listed on LinkedIn. Evergreen's other recent acquisitions include KES in February 2024 and i-Tech Support in January 2024.

Centrered, founded in 1996, is based in Canberra, Australia. The company has 19 employees listed on LinkedIn. Centrered’s areas of expertise include managed IT services and network consulting, particularly for small to mid-sized businesses in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors.

Evergreen’s Australian Expansion

The acquisition gives Evergreen inroads into the Australian IT market, where Centrered is one of the few IT organization that isn’t government-based, according to the company.

For Centrered’s part, the deal will allow for continued growth, allowing them to capitalize on Evergreen’s global network and resources, according to the company.

The deal will also allow Centrered to expand into new markets, the company said.

Evergreen Acquires Centrered: Executive Insight

Sydney Hockett, Vice President at Evergreen Service Group, commented:

"Through their decades of IT innovation in Canberra and particularly their crucial work with not-for-profits, Centrered has demonstrated a deep commitment to technological innovation. In Centrered we see a business and a team that aligns strongly with our values and believe there are really exciting opportunities for growth on both sides."

Adele Pickering, CEO, Centrered, said:

"From the moment we began talks with Evergreen it was clear they understood our mission on a deep level and would be able to provide the resources to further it, rather than replacing it. For close to three decades Centrered has cultivated a people-centered approach to IT designed to meet and exceed the diverse IT needs of our clients, and this acquisition will allow us to scale up these commitments without sacrificing our core values."
