Continuum Navigate 2015: Day 3 Recap


The Continuum Navigate 2015 conference, designed for managed services providers (MSPs), wraps today in Las Vegas. But it's not quite time to say goodbye. Here's a minute-by-minute recap (and preview, actually) of Day 3.

. The Voice: Shannon Kohn Mayer, senior marketing programs manager at Continuum, sang the U.S. National Anthem this morning, as part of a tribute to U.S. military veterans. It was rather incredible.

. Continuum Veterans Foundation: The foundation, launched in 2012, offers 1 percent of its profits to organizations that help veterans find jobs. Moreover, Continuum employees donate 20 hours per year toward veteran organizations.

. Growth Rate: More sources suggest to me that Continuum is on pace to grow its revenues "nearly 40 percent" this year. No matter how many different ways I ask CEO Michael George to confirm the estimate, he just smiles and politely declines comment... Hmmm... If only there was an anonymous blogger in the house to text him the question...

. Missing Figures: Even as I dig to confirm Continuum's growth rate, I don't have a good feel for (A) top line revenues and (B) bottom-line EBITDA. With a little luck and a lot of work over the next few months, I'll attempt to pinpoint those figures for all of the major managed- and cloud-centric companies working with MSPs and VARs...


. Sales and Marketing: Robin Robins is set to share her business tips in a keynote at around 10 a.m. PT. Here's a blog covering the keynote -- how to build an IT services sales and marketing machine.


. Scaling Your Business: Best-selling author and business coach Verne Harnish will close the event with a familiar but challenging theme -- how some companies manage to scale their businesses... but most don't. We'll update this blog entry with Harnish sound bites.
