Oracle Cloud solutions provider Evosys is buying Oracle Gold partner Newbury Taleo Group to boost the firm's North American presence, both companies have confirmed.

The Massachusetts-based Newbury specializes in Oracle Cloud talent acquisition solutions. The buy-out means Newbury will immediately offer end-to-end Oracle Cloud HCM and ERP solutions to client organizations, the company said.

The prospective deal, which was first announced at the Oracle HCM World conference, is expected to close within the next 30 days. The merger will establish Evosys as one of the largest Oracle Cloud solutions providers with more than 870 customers across the globe, the company said.

Newbury Taleo Group will be rebranded “Newbury Cloud powered by Evosys.” The new entity will concentrate on industry-specific value propositions.

Leaders Applaud the Deal

Evosys CEO Umang Nahata and Newbury CEO John Weston of Newbury each said the deal will benefit both organizations. "The deal will help Evosys capitalize on Newbury Taleo Group recognition across small businesses and major markets in North America," said Nahata.

Weston, meanwhile, said Newbury will “gain the opportunity to build one of the industry's best Oracle Cloud HCM practices" through its merger with Evosys. There was no discussion of whether customers could expect any changes to management as a result of the deal.

Evosys began operations more than a decade ago, implementing Oracle Cloud solutions across all product pillars for organizations of all sizes. That makes the company one of the world’s fastest growing Oracle Cloud partners, according to its own website. The company has more than 900 employees and serves more than 240 Oracle Cloud customers worldwide in a variety of industries.

Newbury Taleo Group was founded in 2014 and serves more than 630 customers in the US and Canada.
