Private Equity Invests $16M In AWS Cloud Consultant Caylent

Private equity firm East Los Capital has invested $16 million in Caylent Inc, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner with Kubernetes container software expertise.

Caylent, founded in 2015, specializes in container orchestration software and DevOps-as-a-Service. The company's core practice areas include cloud migration and modernization, cloud data engineering, cloud security, application modernization, and cloud native application development.

Caylent also is an open source community advocate. The company is a Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) member and Kubernetes Certified Service Provider (KCSP).

Caylent Business Growth, Expansion Plans

Caylent is growing 300 percent year-over-year, the company asserts. The AWS consulting firm has 112 employees listed on LinkedIn. Still, actual revenue and profit figures are undisclosed.

Caylent, backed by the East Los Capital investment, plans to expand its data analytics, machine learning and cloud application development initiatives. Moreover, the company will expand its footprint across the Americas, Caylent says.

In a prepared statement about the investment, Caylent CEO JP La Torre said:
