Bluewave Technology Group has acquired Florida-based TruPoint Technology Solutions, marking another move in its effort to expand regional reach and deepen capabilities in unified communications and contact center services, reports Channel Futures. Backed by Columbia Capital, Bluewave continues to consolidate its position in the tech advisory space, bringing on TruPoint’s full team and appointing founder John Berardi as a managing partner.

The deal strengthens Bluewave’s portfolio with TruPoint’s experience in UCaaS and CCaaS, as well as its shift beyond traditional agency models into project management and implementation. As demand for more comprehensive voice and collaboration solutions grows, this acquisition positions Bluewave to better support clients navigating increasingly complex tech environments.

For TruPoint, the acquisition comes at a pivotal time. Berardi noted that the firm had reached an “inflection point” and needed to decide between staying focused on niche, vertical markets or scaling to meet broader client needs. Joining Bluewave offered access to deeper resources, including engineering talent, and a pathway for team members looking for long-term career growth.

This move also reflects a broader trend in the channel partner ecosystem. As technology continues to evolve rapidly, especially with AI reshaping customer expectations, scale and technical depth are becoming critical. M&A activity, which had slowed over the past year, appears to be picking back up, with this deal joining others from Amplix and Opex in recent weeks.
