Details: Network service provider Lingo Communications acquired two firms — Impact Acquisition LLC and TNCI Operating Company LLC, collectively known as Impact Telecom. The deal creates one of the largest network service providers in North America, the companies say.

Private Equity: Mayfair Private Equity
Details: GCI was valued in the neighborhood of £200 million (US$271.4 million). The seller was Business Growth Fund (BGF), which has backed the IT service provider since 2012. Mayfair has also set up a £60 million (US$81.4 million) fund that GCI will use to make acquisitions. GCI, which was founded in 1998, claims to be the largest privately-owned ICT (Information and Communications Technology) service provider in the United Kingdom. The company has grown both organically and through what it calls an “ambitious and successful acquisition strategy.” Key customers include Lush Cosmetics, the Heritage Lottery Fund and BGF.

Details: MCP specializes in networks and Next Generation 911, radio and wireless broadband, facilities, and operations. The deal will enhance MCP’s IT and managed services offering, the company said. It will also bolster the firm’s service portfolio and physical presence in certain key markets. Athena, founded in 2009, has a presence in over 25 states and works with more than 100 public safety agencies. The team has a history of managing mission-critical systems and networks, which MCP says will help its clients gain greater control of their IT infrastructure and networks.
